One Player Missions client are looking for a Senior Environment artist who is passionate about Foliage, you will create and develop AAA quality foliage and environments that build our worlds. As well as working with your team you will also work with the Lead Environment Artist to develop new processes and ultimately create foliage that follows the requirements set out by the art direction.
 

Responsibilities:

  • Create amazing trees, bushes and plants that make our games come to life, by developing new features, tools and shaders.
  • Work alongside the Tech Art team and Art Direction to define all foliage needs while sticking to the projects style and direction requirements.
  • Working with scanned foliage, create realistic textures and models for all foliage needs.
  • Collaborating with the photogrammetry department to ensure all work that is needed can be captured accurately and on time.
  • Alongside the Production team and the Lead Environment Artist help plan your work, identifying dependencies and raising risks.
  • Regularly communicate with the Lead Environment Artist to discuss progress and review work.
  • Collaborate with all disciplines to understand their requirements and propose solutions to these.

Requirements:

  • A portfolio showcasing photorealistic foliage within a game engine
  • Proven track record for creating high detail foliage from scanned textures
  • Strong understanding of Speedtree and other relevant software packages such as Substance and Photoshop
  • Understanding of photogrammetry and photometric content creation
  • Environment compositional skills within a game engine such as UE5
  • Proactive in identifying issues and communicating this to the relevant stakeholders.

One Player Mission is proud to be working with a London based developer looking for a Senior Animator who is passionate about their craft and abilities. Who wants to learn from a great team and help share their knowledge too. You’ll be working on a ground-breaking Online Sci-Fi FPS. 

REQUIREMENTS:
 

  • Extensive experience in Console / PC game development as a Senior Animator.
  • Excellent communication skills, working with key stakeholders to solve problems as well as keeping the development management team up to date with progress and any issues that may arise throughout production.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Maya and Motion Builder.
  • Excellent understanding of the human body, how the body moves and reacts to combat.

You will work with writing performance critical code to feed the GPU, and take responsibility for elevating the visual quality of the game to the highest possible level in close collaboration with the art and other tech departments. As is typical of Avalanche’s open world games, you will be instrumental in pushing both the realism and immersiveness of the world

REQUIREMENTS:

  • A well-developed aesthetic sense
  • Extensive background in rendering with experience in shaders and lighting
  • Well versed in modern 3D graphics APIs
  • Excellent maths skills
  • Highly fluent in C/C++
  • Excellent CPU/GPU performance analysis and optimisation skills
  • Strong CPU/GPU debugging skills
  • An excellent understanding of the pros and cons that the current console architectures impose on all aspects of the rendering pipeline

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work with writing performance critical code to feed the GPU, and take responsibility for elevating the visual quality of the game to the highest possible level 
  • Able to work under guidance, somewhat independently and can work towards developing the talents of more junior members of the team.
  • Be instrumental in pushing both the realism and immersiveness of the world
BONUS SKILLS (Good to have)
  • Physics/mathematics/computer science degree
  • Experience with PS4, PS5, XBox One or Xbox Series X development for a shipped or upcoming title
  • Experience with the certification of console titles
  • An understanding of other aspects of game programming, including physics, animation, AI and networking

One Player Mission is proud to be working with an award-winning developer of premium games that entertain millions of gamers across the globe with amazing and immersive gaming experiences.

Our client is now looking for a Lead Programmer to work with them in their beautiful Stockholm Studio.

As a Lead Programmer on this project, you will run a talented, multi-discipline, multi-location programming team and be responsible for maintaining, developing and improving many aspects of the game and core engine technology. This is a live product, so part of your responsibility is to make sure the releases are well prepared and operational when we release them on multiple target platforms.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Extensive and professional relevant experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of C++.
  • Experience programming with recent generation PC, Xbox and PlayStation APIs.
  • Experience with a range of tools and pipelines used in modern game development.
  • Self-motivated, strong work ethic, able to work independently.
  • The ability and desire to work in a team, including different disciplines.
  • Experience guiding/mentoring junior developers.
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work closely with all disciplines, know when to say no and be comfortable making quick decisions, sometimes with incomplete information.
  • Make sure the releases are well prepared and operational when we release them on multiple target platforms. 
  • Run a talented, multi-discipline, multi-location programming team and be responsible for maintaining, developing and improving many aspects of the game and core engine technology. 
  • Work on system development, updating existing systems and workflows, profiling and optimization, supporting the link between the project and their central technology and many more.
BONUS SKILLS (Good to have)
  • Past team leadership experience.
  • Working knowledge of Python.
  • Knowledge of Jenkins CI/CD workflows.
  • In-depth knowledge of game engine architectures.
  • In-depth knowledge of current generation console architectures and future architectural trends.
