RESPONSIBILITIES:
 

  • Work on the AI of their games using decisions trees within Unreal and/or any other AI systems required to create the fun and engagement that the designers are looking for.
  • Work close together with the creative team to deliver features and improve workflows, functionality, and interfaces.
  • Take ownership of the AI work, working closely together with the tech leads to make it fit the complete codebase and working closely together with the designers to identify the technical constraints based on their creative guidance.
  • Help develop, expand, maintain, and support the AI systems, tools, and AI related gameplay elements.
  • Use your knowledge of C++, object orientation, design patterns, algorithms, and data structures to create solid technical designs and efficient implementations for the required animation work.
  • Constantly take performance into account so the games and experiences can keep running at a smooth 72+ FPS, even when rendering to both eyes and using the latest and greatest mobile hardware to do so.
  • Analyze problems and debug them to quickly locate and fix challenging bugs.
DESIRED:
  • Experience with real-time AI systems, such as decision trees to create challenging and engaging enemies for shooter games or similar.
  • You have written several games in C++ and have a proper understanding of all the basic concepts of the language such as object vs data oriented, approach, inheritance vs composition, pointers vs references, encapsulation, data structures and their performance characteristics.
  • Created at least 1 project using the Unreal Engine, providing you with a good basic understanding on creating blueprints, optimizing code through usage of C++ and the Unreal pipeline.
  • You have interest in AI technology, passion for character-based games and good knowledge on AI solutions.
  • You are technical and collaborative.

One Player Mission’s client, a developer of popular single and multiplayer multiplatform games, is currently looking for a Senior VFX Artist to join their team in Sweden.

The Senior VFX Artist they are looking for will have broad experience with VFX, both creating and editing and will have both a strong creative and technical background. This Senior VFX Artist will be able to conceptualize, present, and execute ideas within a schedule, while actively participating in technical and artistic problem-solving, and will be able to partner with multiple disciplines to meet project-specific needs.
 

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Extensive Game Development VFX Artist Experience.
  • Strong experience with the Unreal Engine 5 Niagara particle pipeline.
  • Strong experience with Houdini.
  • Portfolio showcasing recent, real-time VFX work.
  • Creatively solve issues whilst maintaining performance.
  • Ability to effectively take direction from the VFX Lead and Art Director, and to deliver consistently on time.

DESIRED:

  • Games industry experience with at least one AAA game credit.
  • Experience with Unreal Blueprints.
  • Knowledgeable with Unreal Shaders.
  • Experience with Photoshop, Substance Designer, Embergen and after effects.
  • Experience with some scripting, or more technical aspects are an advantage.
  • Experience playing Survival and Open-World genre games.

RESPONISIBILITIES:

  • Work collaboratively together with the artists and designers to create, implement and polish a range of environment, weapons, vehicles and character effects.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of the direction and mechanics of the game so the VFX feel grounded and cohesive within the world.
  • Understand supporting custom toolsets and deliver assets within the confines of real-time engine constraints and programming and animation demands.
  • Additional duties include assisting with designs and how it relates to your effects, syncing with technical art for optimization and mentoring more junior members of the team.
