Our client is an iconic games developer based in Paris. They create AAA video games with unique IP, offering immersive narratives for the player to lose themselves in.

As a lead outsourcer, you will also understand the various constraints of game development, including performance, memory budgets, production schedules and artistic requirements. 

Strong communication and team management skills are essential for this position. You will be motivated, demanding and adaptable. 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Very good level in English; 
  • Extensive professional experience with at least 1 AAA game published or equivalent; 
  • Managerial and artistic experience; 
  • Mastery of industry standard tools such as Maya, Zbrush, Substance, Photoshop, Perforce; 
  • Strong artistic and visual sensibility; 
  • Experience in environmental/vehicle/weapons (modeling, texturing and optimization); 
  • In-depth knowledge of High/Low poly pipe, as well as PBR material management; 
  • Solid understanding of the technical constraints of real time (memory, GPU, CPU performance); 
  • Ability to improve and evolve the project to meet the ever increasing quality demands; 
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to interact and collaborate with our external teams; 
  • Initiative and ability to make proposals; 
  • Ability to evaluate and develop our external teams in relation to artistic expectations but also to technical and time budgets; 
  • Knowledge of Chinese language is a plus. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work with the lead environment to maintain the required artistic quality of each asset delivered by our external teams; 
  • Work with our production team to ensure that assets are delivered on time with the required level of artistic and technical quality; 
  • Maintain a good relationship and follow-up between internal and external teams; 
  • Ensure briefs and follow-up of outsourced assets; 
  • Ensure good understanding, both artistic and technical, to our external teams; 
  • Ensure solid communication with our external teams regarding our expectations of artistic and technical quality.  
  • Provide artistic and technical feedback on assets delivered by our external teams; 
  • Work with our internal documentalist team to ensure that our outsourcing packages have the right level of quality/detail for our production needs.

Project: AAA Games


The UI Artist is a key part of our clients growing UI Team. Having an excellent eye for detail, they are looking for someone who can create world class User Interface graphics that support and enhance the gameplay experience. They work with very high-profile clients on amazing game titles and the quality of their UI art work is critical to satisfying and retaining their loyalty.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
 

  • Create high quality 2D user interface graphical artwork, from wireframe prototypes and concepts, through to implementation in game, including bug fixing and polishing.
  • Assist with concepting new ideas, exploring new techniques and refining the UI to enhance the player experience.
  • Following specified art direction and working in collaboration with other departments, create beautiful icons, menus, buttons and front-end HUD graphics, and assist in both providing and implementing feedback.
  • Work with the Art Director to ensure consistency between initial vision and final assets.
  • Ensure work meets all technical constraints, have an awareness of memory usage, optimisation and the impact of artwork on frame rate.
  • Adhere to guidelines regarding naming conventions, texture layering structures, folders etc.
  • With a professional and organised approach, you stick to schedules, promptly feedback any concerns, update Jira and communicate progress.
  • Keep up to date with industry advancements and technologies and share knowledge with the art team.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Excellent graphical artistic ability, with a clear understanding of colour theory, proportion, layout, composition and use of negative space.
  • A passion for graphic design, iconography, typography and an appreciation of the importance of the UI flow and functionality.
  • Very good working knowledge and proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop and Illustrator/XD or similar for vector graphic creation.
  • Good understanding of various other tools used in game development and experienced in using current game editors such as Unreal or Unity.
  • Good communication and organisation skills and confident working as part of a multidisciplinary art team.
  • Practical and methodical approach to both technical and creative problem-solving.

One Player Mission’s client has made a name in creating multiplayer melee combat games. They are looking for a talented, team-oriented Senior VFX Artist to join their team!

The ideal candidate will have a passion for developing VFX that land on believable impressions while executing on quality and technical goals targeted by their art and tech direction.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design, create, implement, and maintain real-time VFX assets including textures, shaders, models, and particle systems
  • Plan, estimate and prioritise time frames for the completion of day-to-day tasks and track progress using the designated tracking tools
  • Implement and incorporate feedback from Director and Leads into work
  • Work with team to achieve the desired level of aesthetic quality and technical accuracy
  • Collaborates with other artists to test efficacy of the special effects, modifying the design/application as necessary
  • Help define best practices, production pipelines and workflows

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Existing experience working in games as a VFX artist or other relevant experience;
  • Strong technical knowledge and artistic abilities working with Realtime VFX in Unreal Engine
  • Knowledge of Physically Based Rendering and Linear workflows
  • Understanding of 3D animation, texturing, modelling, lighting and compositing
  • Ability to perform visual and analytical problem-solving
  • Strong artistic vision, sense of design and composition
  • Critical eye for depictive detail and observation are valued skills

OPMs client is looking for a Senior Concept Artist who has a breath of experience with different visual styles, topics, and subjects.

The successful candidate will be working directly with the art director and art team on current and future projects and aid in the creation and realisation of the game vision on a dark, story-driven next generation ‘Narrative Adventure’ with genre defining goals.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proven experience as a Senior Concept Artist on at least one shipped PC or console title
  • Strong command of foundation art skills and visual design principles
  • An understanding of architecture, environments and anatomy (drawing, painting and rendering, material indication, perspective, composition, colour theory, design, anatomy and 2d and 3d design techniques)
  • Expert level knowledge of Photoshop with an emphasis on drawing, painting and image making. Ability to block out ideas in 3D as well as 2D depending on the needs of the task.
  • Familiarity with video game product development and the fundamentals of 3D packages.
  • Good communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills, attend meetings within feature teams, and communicate the direction and requirements back to the concept team.
  • Strong ideation, brainstorming and documentation skills.
  • Strong time management and prioritisation skills. This entails collaborating with the Production group to coordinate task lists to ensure assignments are progressing well according to schedules, objectives, and overall project goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design environments, props, production callouts, system interacts, high vision concept art, colour scripts, marketing material and other visual guides and tasks as needed to assist the development team.

  • Show initiative in set tasks and engage in collaborative positive and energetic team culture with peer review.
  • Solve complex artistic development issues for both artists as well as other team members.
  • Actively improve your skills and maintain an awareness of industry techniques, tools, evaluate competitive products, learning new software packages and traditional art methods.
  • Work closely with the Lead Concept Artist and Art Director to develop and deliver the highest standard of art assets and processes. Serve as an artistic resource for overall product.
