One Player Mission’s client, a developer of popular single and multiplayer multiplatform games, is currently looking for a Senior VFX Artist to join their team in creating a AAA open-world survival MMO. As a Senior VFX Artist you will have broad experience with VFX, both creating and editing and will have both a strong creative and technical background. This VFX Artist will be able to conceptualize, present, and execute ideas within a schedule, while actively participating in technical and artistic problem-solving, and will be able to partner with multiple disciplines to meet project-specific needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with the artists and designers to create, implement and polish a range of environment, weapons, vehicles and character effects.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of the direction and mechanics of the game so the VFX feel grounded and cohesive within the world.
  • Understand our supporting custom toolsets and deliver assets within the confines of real-time engine constraints and programming and animation demands.
  • Additional duties include assisting with designs and how it relates to your effects, syncing with technical art for optimization and mentoring more junior members of the team.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 5+ Years of Game Development VFX Artist Experience.
  • Strong experience with the Unreal Engine 5 Niagara particle pipeline.
  • Strong experience with Houdini.
  • Portfolio showcasing recent, real-time VFX work.
  • Creatively solve issues whilst maintaining performance.

One Player Missions’ client is looking for a experienced UI/UX Artist to join their team and work closely with the Art Director and game designers to conceptualize, mock-up and apply UI design across many different systems in their games. 

The successful candidate will be heavily involved in evaluating and improving usability across the designs chosen for their titles.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with game designers to create wireframes and interactive prototypes.
  • Create assets and implement UI in an efficient and maintainable way.
  • Create game menus, flows and HUD elements.
  • Graphic design, logos, and iconography.
  • Motion graphics.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experienced at least one full production cycle in a AAA game environment
  • Strong artistic knowledge in iconography, graphic design and HUD visuals.
  • Examples of current and past work demonstrating a strong understanding of usability and composition.
  • Experience with Motion graphics.
  • Demonstration of significant UI contribution to a shipped video game title.
  • Self-motivated and able to give and receive feedback. 
  • Excellent team player with a strong work ethic and a cooperative attitude.
  • Fluent in English both written and verbal form.
  • Portfolio submission supporting prior experience in a UI/UX role or similar.

One Player Missions Client are looking for a Lead Artist, The client are an established game studio based in the South East of England. With a growing team of highly experienced developers, they focus on creating the exceptional and innovative games of the future. they’re currently working with a AAA publisher in the early stages of a major new project as well as their own IP.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the art team from the front. 
  • Ensure the art team’s output respects the artistic vision of the game. 
  • Relentlessly raise the quality bar, demanding excellence from self and team. 
  • Ensure the art team has the staff, techniques and tools they need to succeed. 
  • Regularly review and provide feedback to art staff. 
  • Work with directors, producers, and specialist art leads to proactively organise the art team. 
  • Inspire, support and nurture the potential in the artists.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of professional game development experience as an artist / senior artist.
  • 2 or more years experience in a leading art role.
  • Advanced skill with tools such as Max, Maya, Blender, Photoshop, Substance Designer, and/or similar software. 
  • Ability to produce photorealistic art of exceptional quality. 
  • A strong understanding of current game technology and future ambitions. 
  • Excellent time-management, and organizational skills.
  • Clear and concise written, verbal and visual communication.
  • A collaborative, process driven approach.
