VFX Asset Artist – South – Television & Film

Our client is opening the doors of their brand-new Didcot Film and TV Studios and are looking for an experienced Asset Artist.

 

With projects based on classic IPs, this is an opportunity to be working on some brand-new film and TV projects and be one of the first members of the new VFX team.

 

This role can be a full-time permanent role based in-house at the Didcot Studio or Short-term in-house contract.

 

Requirements

  • A full working knowledge of modeling in Maya is required,
  • Ability to deliver a model with clean topology and strong UV layout skills for texturing,
  • Strong knowledge of Z-brush
  • Experience texturing in Mari and/or Substance required.
  • Knowledge of Houdini would be an advantage.
  • Experience with Redshift, and/or Mantra a plus.
  • Experience with Lighting for photoreal CG is a plus.
  • Experience with game engines is a plus

 

Responsibilities

  • 3D Modeling and Texturing character and props using a wide range of reference material,
  • Working alongside the lookdev Artist and riggers to generate organic or rigid object models.
  • Ensuring assets meet specifications provided by all relevant departments
  • A strong understanding of artistic anatomy and form, both human and creature.
  • Strong spatial awareness and a good sense of form, scale and proportion and a keen eye for detail.
