They’re growing rapidly and as a result are looking for a VFX Artist to join their studio in Middlesbrough (UK), home to the beautiful North Yorkshire coastline and countryside. As a VFX Artist, you’ll be passionate about all aspects of VFX design, with the ability to create out of the box dazzling visual effects that fully immerse the players' experience. You should have an excellent eye for detail with a creative flair and stylistic versatility along with the ability to effectively communicate with the other disciplines involved in developing the game.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Good experience as a VFX artist in the game industry
• Proficient in creating compelling visual effects in any VFX creation software
• Ability to author original textures and assets for use in visual effects design
• Experience creating 3D assets and materials in Maya or another 3D package as needed to support effects
• Familiarity with lighting in game, material creation, and post effects
• Experienced with current generation game engines like Unreal, Radiant or Unity
• Excellent time management skills
• Be proactive and support other artists

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Help develop great visual effects and particle systems for a variety of gameplay and cinematic scenarios
• Help gather VFX requirements, working closely with other discipline leads and production across the project
• Support programmers to facilitate the implementation of VFX in game
• Assist with material creation, post process effects and lighting as needed
• Work closely with the Art and Design teams to ensure the highest quality assets are delivered
• Communicate effectively and champion the VFX strategy across the team
• Able to organise, time management and help prioritisation of work
