OPM’s client, a successful developer of award-winning racing games, is currently looking for a Vehicle Handling Designer to join their growing team to work on their new unannounced title from early concept stage.

Working in a passionate close-knit team that ensures your voice doesn’t get lost in the crowd, you will deliver AAA racing games within a studio that will value and recognise your contributions.

Join their talented and experienced team now to re-invent and shape the studio’s most ambitious racing title yet, from its inception to a genre-defining experience.

The Vehicle Handling Designer specialises in the design and production of vehicle assets (such as vehicle handling, cameras and damage).


  • Use all sources available to research the allocated area(s) of design
  • Play and review objectively competing products
  • Ensure that all allocated design work is documented in accordance with the set standards
  • Produce the required documentation in the timeframe required
  • Ensure all relevant design documentation is up to date
  • Play test and balance all areas of the game, in line with the vision and direction
  • Play and suggest appropriate changes to games currently in development and prototyping
  • Liaise with the Quality Assurance Team Leader on all relevant issues


  • Proven games design/industry experience
  • Technical awareness of development processes
  • Passion and understanding of racing games
  • Enthusiastic about cars and the technicalities of vehicle setup
  • Experience in a similar role focusing on vehicle assets is highly beneficial

Desirable skills:

  • 3D Studio Max knowledge
  • Code e.g. C/C++ or AI programming
  • Scripting
  • Unity
  • Video Editing
  • HTML knowledge

The successful candidates will receive a competitive salary dependant on their skills and experience.
