My client is major developer of bright, colourful worlds that immerse the player in all out action! They are currently looking for an experienced Vegetation/Environment Artist to join them on a Realistic Simulation title.

As the Vegetation/Environment Artist at this studio you will collaborate in a small, interdisciplinary team to create art for our world and all its components. They will expect you to take your assets all the way from conceptual mock-ups through modelling and texturing to final placement in the environment. You will be responsible for creating exciting and believable artwork, creating and texturing environmental vegetation assets for the biggest and best open world environments in the industry.

Required Qualifications

  • Excellent modelling and texturing skills using Autodesk Maya and Adobe Photoshop
  • Experience with physically-based rendering
  • A great sense of technical know-how and functional problem-solving
  • Model, texture and create collision in 3D for game environment vegetation assets.
  • Work closely with Programmers and other departments to ensure art assets are fully optimised for platforms.
  • Participate in R&D of new techniques to implement into production pipeline.
  • Ensures that artistic style is consistent with defined visual style for the game.

 

Desired Qualifications

  • AAA experience and with at least one open-world game shipped
  • Skills in with Zbrush
  • Experience with Allegorithmic Substance Designer or Painter.
  • Experience with Quixel Suite
  • Knowledge of photogrammetric asset creation workflows
  • Ability to communicate and realize an artistic vision
