OPM’s Amsterdam-based developer who develop are looking for a UI Designer to join its internal UI Team. This is a very exciting time in for OPM’s client, and a unique opportunity for you to join them! They are building a team of talented people that will raise the quality of our game’s UI and our internal design processes to the next level.

They are looking for people who have a strong passion for games, great social and communication skills as well as a positive, team player mentality.

What you will do:

• You will be responsible for the look-and-feel of game menus and interactive HUD elements of our upcoming titles, making sure the interfaces are easy to use and understand as you spar with the UX Lead and other Designers;
• You will apply and maintain a consistent art style throughout the project’s entire interface.
• You will champion good design throughout the organization.
• You will create documentation that clearly defines design intent and implementation details throughout the entire process.

Who you are:

• You’re passionate about games and creating games;
• You have previous experience in UI Design for video games;
• You have a keen eye for detail and the skills to create stunning graphic concepts and bring them to life through 2D and 3D designs;
• Your number one passion is graphic design (a thorough understanding of good screen layout, composition of information, use of color, typography and iconography;
• You’re an effective self-tasker capable of taking direction and working productively based on feedback;
• You are comfortable working with strong-minded art directors;
• You have a helpful, solution-oriented attitude;
• You have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Plusses:

• You have prior experience championing good UI design within a large organization;
• You have experience creating and animating motion graphics;
• You have experience with editors (in engines such as Unreal or Unity)
