An exciting opportunity has arisen to join an ambitious studio to create original games exclusively for VR platforms. They are a small highly experienced team who want to build great games to showcase this exciting new technology.

Currently they are looking for a Graphic Designer / Artist that will be excited by the challenge of creating a visually impressive game within the constraints of VR.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Creating game content under the direction of the lead artist and creative director.
  • Collaborating with the Design, Code and Art teams to produce content which is of high quality, and clearly communicates the information to the player.
  • Design and create menus, screens and in-game UI
  • Integrate UI elements into the game engine.

Requirements:

  • Extensive game development within a UI or UX design role.
  • An understanding of usability.
  • Ability to quickly prototype ideas.
  • Strong art and design skills.
  • A passion for games and knowledge of UI within current VR games.

Pluses:

  • Experience working with UE4 blueprints system.
  • Experience in other areas such as concept art, 3D design, design for print, etc.
  • Experience working in VR

 

The salary bracket is approximate and is no guarantee of the income on offer.  Salary and benefits will be discussed with candidates at interview with the company and are individually negotiated by OPM.
