UI/3D Artist – London – Multiple Platform Development

Location: London, UK Salary: Negotiable

Job ID: # Posted: 2 years ago

Our client is always focusing on making original, never before seen experiences.

They’re developing a physics-based game that will rock the core of what multiplayer means to players. This is a player-focussed game – they will be constantly watching others play and asking themselves what they can learn to improve.

This is a wide-ranging role where they’re after a 3D generalist with UI or Graphic Design skills. The ideal candidate would have a strong background in User Interface and visual design but will also be able to support the team’s Senior 3D artist with modelling props and set dressing. They’re a small, lean team so you’ll have a strong, direct impact on the direction and quality of the final game.

  • Care for providing great experience to players, proving out great ideas never seen before and growing them together with our gaming community
  • Yearning for improvement through honest feedback from your peers and the community
  • Belief that “the best way” is not written in stone and changes for the better are welcome
  • Passion for making and playing games across genres
  • Focused but adaptable; flexible and open to change within a fast-paced team environment
  • Experience working in Unity
  • Experience creating UI for Multiplayer titles, and/or UGC Level Editors is considered a very desirable asset

  • Graphic design and implementation of highly usable User Interface components, focusing on ease of user experience and minimalism of design
  • Working with the design and development team to outline and iterate upon functional and graphical requirements of the UI
  • Assisting and working on several aspects of the art production pipeline
  • General knowledge of 3D modelling, rigging, lighting, texturing and rendering techniques
  • Reporting to the team’s Senior artist and taking direction where required
  • Being creative and having great ideas about the design aspect of our games
  • Participating in all of their games life cycles with suggestions and feedback as well as generating new game concept during our regular game jams
