Our client is one of the UK’s most prolific and secure independent game developers with a talented team spread across 4 Studios. It’s an exciting time to be part of the studio; they are growing across all their studios to support a very bright and busy future.

As a Track Designer you will develop a vision for the racing experience on multiple tracks, and then communicate that vision to the entire team. You will work with art, animation and audio teams to deliver your track, building it from an initial blockout through to a final track, all the while pushing to make the racing experience the best it can be. You will report to the Senior Track Designer, who will provide goals and feedback on your work.

As a crucial member of the design team you’ll have a positive and constructive approach to both giving and receiving feedback, not just within your own speciality but across the entire game. You’ll be an excellent communicator, both in verbally and in writing, and have a passion for making great games.

Requirements:

  • Level design and scripting experience in a modern editing tool such as Unreal Engine 4 or Unity 5
  • A good grasp of racing game design and what makes a great track
  • Enthusiasm and willingness to learn

Beneficial requirements:

  • Experience designing tracks for a published racing game
  • Basic modelling skills with a 3D software package such as Maya or 3DS Max
