OPM are working with an Industry leader responsible for cutting edge VR titles looking to expand their team of experienced and passionate engineers.
The studio has recently released a first-person shooter (FPS) for PlayStation 4’s virtual reality headset PlayStation VR.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Design and develop C# tools in close collaboration with other members of the tools/technical team, with a focus on live editing and authoring of game content and logic.
Liaise with artists, designers, animators, audio engineers, programmers and embedded QA with the aim to improve workflows, proactively improving quality and efficiency across the team.
Take ownership of core features, being responsible for their future development, ongoing maintenance, and acting as the go-to person for other members of the studio.
Support a large number of tools users with a diverse range of requirements. Troubleshoot content creation issues throughout the team as required.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Excellent C# programming skills, experience profiling and writing performant C# code.
Strong knowledge of .NET and WPF, with experience of GUI development.
Good knowledge of multithreading solutions within C# (TPL, async await).
Good software architecture knowledge and API design skills.
Passion for UX and workflow iteration.
Experience developing and supporting a variety of tools solutions for large scale games development.
Strong communication skills, able to effectively communicate and work with multiple disciplines (including non-technical).
Able to appropriately prioritise tasks, balancing feature development, bug fixing and support.
