Our client is top video games developer with 15yrs experience in the industry! They are undertaking their biggest game to date and need you to help make it a huge success!

 

They are looking for a talented UI Artist whose responsibilities will be to realize top quality User Interface designs for our upcoming games.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCULDE:

 

  • Create design prototypes, including graphic design samples and animated mockups for game features, menus and displays in the game.
  • Create a strong and cohesive UI style outlining stylistic consistency and usage rules.
  • Working directly with designers to solve layout and usability issues.
  • Working directly with engineering to solve interface technical and implementation issues, while adhering to their technical guidelines.
  • Collaborating with the Art and Creative Directors to develop a visual style and language that enhances the gameplay and user experience.
  • May need to assist with other art assets as needed, like 2D textures, marketing materials, etc.

 

PORTFOLIO REQUIREMENTS

 

  • Strong Actionscript 3 and Flash animations skills
  • Expert skill with Photoshop, Illustrator and UI prototyping tools of choice
  • Strong graphic design skills, particularly in iconography creation, typography, HUD elements, and screen layouts.
  • A keen eye for composition, clarity and usability.
  • Experience with a variety of artistic styles. Ability to create new looks or design pieces that fit into an existing style.

 

Bonus Skills:

  • C++ coding skills
  • Web design experience
  • Previous games experience
