Our client is a rapidly expanding studio, developing thrilling eSports console games using cutting-edge technology. They are seeking a Technical Director to lead and support their team through excellent leadership, problem solving, and risk management.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

• Software development experience in the Games industry with at least two shipped titles

• Proven technical leadership capabilities

• Strong organisational and prioritisation skills

• Able to effectively balance project, team, technical and business requirements

• Experience in developing and growing software engineering talent

• Able to challenge and adapt to change

• A thirst for technical expertise and innovation

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage all aspects of the team, across standards and practises, recruitment, onboarding, training, motivation, and mentoring

• Create a healthy team environment through healthy discussion and conflict resolution, thus developing a culture of ownership, respect, trust, and integrity

• Identify potential development partners and support them in completing due diligence

• Collaborate with partners to ensure the accurate definition and delivery of technical requirements are met

• Define and decide actions regarding technical design, infrastructure, and architecture

• Anticipate and strategise for risks and dependencies across development

• Work alongside engineering and broader team to manage risks and dependencies
