Project: AAA games

This global, award-winning studio group seeks a Technology Director for an ambitious AAA, open-world game based on a new IP, due to be released on multiple platforms. The successful candidate will be in charge of technical strategy, working closely with the creative and production teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and manage a technical vision and production plan
• Participate in the creation of the programming team for a brand new studio
• Keep up to date with technical trends and evangelize solutions to innovate both the player experience and creative product development
• Collaborate with all directors and leads
• Proactively identify opportunities and risks to improve the team’s work, quality of the project, and studio knowledge
• Have a cross platform mindset to ensure that the codebase supports seamless multi-platform and form factors
• Ensure that the technology of the game starts with a Live product foundation, capable of regular updates and malleable to key engineering changes if necessary

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Proven ability to define and manage the engineering vision and roadmap of very large-scale projects
• At least one shipped project in a technical leadership position using Unreal Engine
• A minimum two shipped AAA action titles, with one being for PS4/Xbox One
• Expert knowledge with the C++ language
• Demonstrable, outstanding management and communication capabilities
• Experience in building a programming team is a plus
• Experience in building open world games is a plus
