Project: Console & PC Games


OPMs client is part of one of the fastest growing publishers in Europe, with a unique blend of creative freedom and culture found at an independent studio with the financial security of a big publisher.

They are currently seeking a Technical Artist to join development on some established and well-known IPs. You will be working with a mixture of disciplines to develop; design and implement are pipelines for their current and upcoming titles.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Extensive experience in a technical artist position, having shipped at least one title
  • Solid background in, and knowledge of 3D graphics
  • Robust knowledge of DCC tools such as: Maya/Blender/3dsmax/Houdini/Photoshop/Substance
  • Experience with materials and/or shading and rendering
  • Experience with at least one language such as: Maxscript, Mel, JavaScript, Python, C#, C++.
  • Self-motivated, technical problem solver
  • Superb communication skills & demonstrable ability to work within a team

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop rendering tech features and prototype gameplay features using UE4 blueprint system and test the implementation on target platforms
  • Optimising GPU and CPU for both PC and consoles
  • Build and streamline art pipelines and workflows.
  • Assess 3D art tools and rendering features to stay in line with modern technologies to enhance quality and efficiency.
  • Work closely with 3D Artists and outsourcers to ensure that technical constraints are recognised
  • Manage and integrate assets using Unreal.

DESIRED SKILLS (but not required):

  • Experience with full digital art content creation pipeline including: High- and low-poly modeling, mapping, baking, texturing, level art, etc.
  • Experience with: Zbrush, Speedtree, Marvelous Designer, etc.
  • Knowledge with Character Skinning/rigging
