Our award-winning client is looking for an exceptionally skilled Technical Artist who possesses a passion for inventing and improving workflows to enhance game development for some of the biggest and most ambitious AAA video game titles.

Your job is to improve the daily interactions that artists have with their software by improving their workflow whilst also prototyping and researching new software and techniques to allow them to spend more time being creative. You will help to bridge different disciplines; making code requirements and limitations relatable to artists and expressing artist objectives and goals to code. You will also help to problem solve and diagnose unexpected issues with workflows for multiple departments.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Using your knowledge and experience to identify and solve problems before they affect the development team.
  • Implementing new techniques to increase art quality and efficiency across disciplines.
  • Communicate solutions to art and programming teams.
  • Bring innovation and resolution to technical problems throughout production.

DESIRED SKILLS:

  • Professional experience in a similar position.
  • Worked on a successfully shipped console or PC title.
  • Experience using 3dsMax and Maxscript.
  • Experience using C# as to create tools.
  • Understanding in developing pipelines and creating efficient user interfaces.
  • Can demonstrate creativity and technical ability within the constraints of console development.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Effective time management skills.
