Our client builds ground-breaking games and content for some of the world’s biggest publishers. Our client is seeking a Technical Animator to join their growing team in Leamington Spa.

The successful candidate will ensure that all animation happens with ease. You will be solving technical issues in producing animations for games. You will be responsible for their motion pipeline from making custom rigs, optimising workflows with scripts, writing custom tools, to keyframe animation.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Strong professional experience in the games industry.
  • Good understanding of executing animation (keyframes and mocap).
  • Ability to spot potential animation challenges, explore new technologies, and find solutions.
  • Able to mentor and guide junior art team members via practical demonstration.
  • Profound technical understanding of game engines and have previous experience allowing you to own the animation pipeline from source to engine.
  • Good Unity skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supporting the requirements of the animators, ensuring they have the tools needed to perform.
  • Managing the animation pipelines on their games to assist them in achieving stunning results, whilst keeping efficiency at its peak.
  • Working with in-house animators and external partners, as well as their engineers.
  • Sharing knowledge, producing technical documents and guidelines.
  • Creating the backbone of the games motion pipeline, by cooperating with designers and art directors to previz and conceptualise the movements of the game.
  • Help sell the vision of the game to the team and their partners.
