OPM are working with a video game developer based in Guildford. The studio has released titles for mobile (Android/ iOS) as well as macOS and Windows most recently adding Nintendo Switch to a growing list of platforms. Currently looking for a talented Server Developer to join their team for ongoing and upcoming projects.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Skilled with C#
• Experience with AWS, EC2, DynamoDB, Cloudwatch
• Comfortable with ASP.Net Core
• Solid relational database fundamentals, hands-on experience with non-relational/NoSQL alternatives, and strong grasp of which to use
• Practical understanding of Redis or similar
• Knowledge in server-side resource profiling, optimisation and debugging
• Superb communication skills

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ownership of current server codebase and cloud services
• Assess and implement a scalable solution for existing services
• Maintenance and monitoring of live services
• Implementation of game server logic
• Manage the design & implementation of client-side server driven features
• Cooperate with Design, Code and QA to ensure delivery of high-quality multiplayer experiences

DESIRED SKILLS:

• Professional experience in the game industry
• Professional experience with Unity
