Our client is looking for a VFX artist to join their team. As a VFX artist, you will be a part of a cross-disciplinary team that together influences and realize the studios vision. What they do and how they work is equally important, they are looking for an artist who will embrace feedback, share knowledge, shape open working culture and create world-class VFX for games.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Professional experience on multiple shipped games.
• Experience making stylized VFX.
• Deep understanding of game VFX and how it can enhance gameplay.
• Proficiency in current generation industry standard VFX tools and workflow.
• Good understanding of shaders or material editors and how VFX impacts performance.
• An open mind and a collaborative attitude.
• An ability to embrace feedback, iterate your work, and share your knowledge with others.
• A passion for games – and especially games that provide players with interesting choices and depth, be it MMORPGs, MOBAs, 1st Person Shooters, or Fighting Games.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Produce a wide range of VFX from powerful melee attacks and “larger than life” spells to breathe life into fantastical heroes, creatures, and monsters.
• Responsible for blocking out your VFX quickly, iterating on them, and then taking your assets all the way into the game.
• Collaborate cross-disciplinary to ensure your VFX strengthens the experience and play as intended.
• Identify VFX needs and pitfalls and work together with the team towards a solution.
• Mentor and share best practices.
