Our client is an independent studio that designs, develops and publishes Smartphone and Tablet games.


They operate worldwide on a F2P model, via the acquisition, retention and monetization of a sustainable player base whilst insuring their satisfaction, fun and engagement with the virtual world they have built for them to share with their friends. The role of the senior technical developer is key to ensuring that all new games and current games are released at the highest possible quality while also running smoothly and efficiently on popular devices. The Senior Technical Developer will be someone who has experience in optimising games to improve graphical quality and performance.




You will ensure that the studio continues to make games in a forward thinking, well optimised and adaptable manner.  This involves working with development teams and identifying problems before they affect new games, as well as working on live games to identify and solve bottlenecks.


  • Suggesting better methods and practices for art development and integration.
  • Graphical processing optimisations.
  • Designing, implementing and documenting optimisations to the codebase
  • Understanding the limitations of Unity and designing solutions and improvements to minimise these limitations
  • Optimising the codebase and graphics systems to perform optimally on iOS and Android


Required Experience:


  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, or equivalent.
  • Bring a solid understanding of algorithms, design patterns, debugging and memory/performance optimization.
  • Be experienced in building and/or managing game development tools such as 3D texture and asset pipelines, art tool plugins, data/database management, data processing tools, GUI application development, unit testing frameworks, cloud-based test farms, UI/UX design tools, build management, deployment tools, continuous integration and ad hoc scripts for process and pipelines.
  • Extensive professional experience or equivalent in tools and client development for mobile, desktop or web applications.
