Senior Technical Animator – Hybrid – Woking, UK – AAA Games

One Player Missions client is looking for a Senior Technical Animator to join their game development team. They’re currently in the early stages of a major new AAA project with a publisher, as well as work on their own IP.

You’ll be responsible for the Technical Animation systems for various games, rigging & skinning, and maintaining the associated technical animation pipeline inside the game engine. The role involves working under the direction of the Technical Art Director and Animation Director, mentoring juniors, and setting the standard for visual quality, performance, and processes in your field.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Expertise in: Maya, Unreal Engine, Python
• Strong experience with rigging and skinning
• Extensive experience with animation pipelines & blueprints, character setup, state machines & motion graphs in Unreal Engine 5
• Experience with FACS and motion capture suites
• Technical documentation experience is an advantage
• Proficiency with change control software (e.g., Perforce)
• Previous experience of shipping at least 1 AAA title as a Technical Animator

• Ensure content is robust, reliable, and of high quality
• Share knowledge and mentor when required
• Define best working practices and pipelines with respective leads
