REMOTE WORKING Senior Rendering Programmer – Core Tech Team – MMORPG Project – Games

OPMs client, is a well-established games developer with over 22 years in the industry. They are seeking an experienced Senior Rendering Programmer to join their team in Reykjavik.

The successful candidate will be developing brand new features and tools for their critically praised game.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Strong professional experience in games development
• Strong C/C++ programming and debugging skills
• Experience and knowledge of the rendering pipeline
• Experience with modern APIs such as DirectX12, Metal or Vulkan
• Experience with CPU and GPU profiling tools
• Experience in multi-threaded design
• Knowledge of real-time graphics shader programming
• Knowledge of console development
• Comfortable in refactoring and porting legacy code

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Create and implement new graphical algorithms, features and solutions into the rendering capabilities of the game
• Pinpoint graphical performance issues and implement solutions
• Work with the graphics team to help develop the visual direction and capabilities of the engine
• Alongside a Producer, investigate, plan, and implement projects and tasks related to the health and capabilities of the game engine
• Participate in all aspects of release and sprint planning, building a backlog of work in collaboration with the Producer and Technical Director
• Contribute ideas and solutions towards all aspect of the game and development processes
• Prioritise and meet deadlines, document, and communicate progress

DESIRED SKILLS (good to have):

• Python programming skills
