Senior / Principal Quest Designer – AAA Games – Amsterdam – Permanent

OPM is proud to be working with one of Europe’s leading game development companies who are on the hunt for a Senior/Principal Quest Designer to join their team to build exciting, challenging gameplay spaces that help tell powerful stories in a rich, dynamic open world title.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Create ground-breaking, innovative gameplay experiences that immerse the player
• Design, build, script and polish your ideas from concept through final implementation
• Using their play-test development schedule, focus on iteration and polishing of quests
• Work with the lead quest designer to shape the type of quests they build
• Cooperate with the entire design team and other departments to maximize use of existing game systems and support fellow developers
• Mentor junior designers, helping them improve their design practice

DESIRED SKILLS:

• Proven experience as a Quest/Mission Designer in a senior position
• Experience in Level/Combat Encounter Design
• Experienced with 3D world and level building tools or with a technical background in programming or scripting is a bonus
