Senior Level Designer – AAA Games – London – Permanent

OPM’s client, a well-known developer of AAA console an PC games, is looking for an exceptionally talented Senior Level Designer who is ready for the challenge of producing a AAA title on the next generation platforms.

Reporting to the Lead Designer, the Senior Level Designer will join the Level Design team. You will work closely with your team, Creative Director and collaborate with disciplines across the studio. You will build compelling narrative, action and puzzle level designs in the Unreal 4.

Responsibilities:

• Be an expert in UE4 and Blueprints for designing, building, setting up logic flow and populating levels
• Gather required information, generate innovative and compelling design plans for the levels you are assigned
• Diligently track status of levels and professionally communicate progress of everything you’re working on
• Be comfortable with uncertainty, embrace and promote a cycle of rapid iteration and prototype
• Be helpful and versatile, willing and able to help any part of the development
• Comfortable taking on frequent and sometimes challenging feedback from the team

Requirements:

• Extensive Level Design experience developing console or PC games
• A minimum of 1 shipped, high quality action/level based game, demonstrating skills with UE3/4 Kismet/Blueprints
• Exceptional level building and logic implementation skills in Unreal Editor 4 and Blueprints
• Experience with other editors, programming and scripting languages is a bonus
• Drawing, diagrammatic and data presentation skills is beneficial
