OPM is working with a growing independent game developer based in the heart of the Midlands, who are seeking a Senior Graphics Programmer to join their team.

Focusing on emerging technologies and new projects, the successful candidate will be working on their latest title, a collectables game using block-chain technology, where the player can build their own worlds, create their own MMO gameplay, and create unique new characters.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Strong professional experience in a comparable Programming position.
  • Strong professional experience with C++/C# and HLSL/CG languages.
  • Strong experience with rendering techniques, optimisation, memory management, and content pipelines.
  • Good understanding of Graphics Programming across all phases of game development in a modern game engine.
  • A team player with a positive mindset and the ability to work autonomously.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to contribute to Scrum meetings. ?

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • ?Work with the team to build features that address, enhance, and achieve the aims of the game.
  • Deliver and own the technical design and implementation of large-scale rendering features.
  • Responsible for ensuring that games work as intended, free of bugs and surpassing the standards that customers and players expect.
  • Keen interest in exploring and implementing new graphics related technologies.

DESIRED SKILLS (good to have):

  • Professional experience with Unity or Unreal Engine 4.
  • Professional experience working on PC and consoles.
  • Professional experience with real-time networked multiplayer games.
