OPM continue to partner with this well-known studio as they continue to make award winning titles. They are now looking for a Senior Gameplay Programmer to join their newest studio in Wroclaw.

 

As a Senior Gameplay Programmer you will be responsible for the design, implementation, optimization and maintenance of technology used to create the best multiplatform AAA titles. You will cooperate with designers and with other programmers to create technical solutions that will fulfill the needs of the video games our client produces.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance and optimization of existing game’s subsystems for all platforms.
  • Design and implementation of new game’s subsystems.
  • Tracking and fixing bugs.
  • Completing tasks on time and creating high quality code.
  • Cooperating with game designers to design gameplay mechanics.
  • Implementing gameplay mechanics.
  • Mentoring less experienced team members.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Extensive C++ skills.
  • Proficiency in algorithms and code architecture.
  • Debugging and optimization skills.
  • Understanding player needs in terms of gameplay mechanics of modern video games.
  • Ability to easily communicate in English.
  • Understanding of components of modern video games (such as behavior trees, skeletal animation, physics simulation, etc.) and specializing in at least one of them.
  • Extensive experience in video games development (including experience on similar position).
  • Experience with working on multiple platforms (including at least 2 of: PC, PS4, XONE).
  • At least one AAA game shipped.
  • Experience with shooters and/or multiplayer games is essential.
