OPM are working with a high profile Swedish based developer looking for Senior Gameplay Programmers.

As a Senior Gameplay Programmer, you will strive to reach agreed milestones, with the highest quality possible, and within the goals scoped by production. You are experienced with all principles of gameplay programming.

You will work closely with designers and know that any gameplay implementation needs to function in multiplayer co-op games. Something you make into reality with your excellence in scheduling and delegating tasks.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• You are an organised, strategic, and thoughtful in all interactions with the team
• Manage communications and provide feedback to gameplay programmers
• Analysing design, break it down into gameplay programming tasks and schedule them
• Quality assure gameplay code
• Manage communication with other departments
• You have proven professional game development within in a similar role. You have prior experience working as a programmer on at least two shipped titles and you have experience with scripting languages, such as LUA, JavaScript and Python. You Are familiar with AI, physics, animation and gameplay code in general and have a keen sense of what makes a game fun. You possess excellent communication skills in English, both spoken and written.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• An expert in understanding of production and are able to problem-solve, schedule, communicate and monitor tasks
• Great with time estimations, assessments and prioritising
• Familiar with multiplayer games
• Familiar with performance profiling and debugging
• Comfortable with git, and familiar with other version control systems
• Understanding of the challenges and possibilities of modern console hardware
