OPM have now partnered with one of the most innovative companies in interactive entertainment, winning numerous awards and receiving critical acclaim worldwide. Their newest studio, based in London, one of the world’s most vibrant cities, is currently building a new team to lead development on a new and highly ambitious MMORPG. They are looking to grow a relatively small, tight-knit team, capable of delivering big ideas through experience, smart process, and world-class tools.

As part of this, they are looking for an experienced Engineer to join the team, who will be responsible for developing a wide range of gameplay features and games systems. You will maintain exceptionally high standards in code quality, polish and “gameplay feel” and guide and mentor more junior members of the team.

The ideal candidate will have spent time digging into the code of the engine itself, or come with a willingness to pro-actively jump-in and learn.

Requirements:

  • Extensive professional programming experience using C++ and developing with Unreal Engine 4.
  • Experience in the implementation and maintenance of various game systems, including AI, navigation, combat and real-time networking.
  • Experience with game debugging and optimisation.
  • Versatile, proactive and willing to contribute to a wide range of engineering tasks.
  • Experience developing gameplay and game systems is essential
  • Strong low level programming skills
  • Experience or passion for other aspects of game development, including tools, UI / UX, build systems or rendering is advantageous.
  • A passion for video games is a must, and experience developing or playing MMOs is definitely a bonus.

In return, you will be rewarded by a creative and fun work environment, benefits including flexible working arrangements and relocation support!
