OPM are working with an innovative and award-winning developer in London that boasts a varied portfolio of unique games.


As Senior Data Engineer, you will be responsible for expanding and optimising their data and data pipeline architecture, as well as optimising data flow and collection for cross functional teams. The ideal candidate is an experienced data pipeline builder and data wrangler who enjoys optimising data systems and building them from the ground up.


The ideal candidate will be excited by the prospect of optimising and re-designing their company’s data architecture to support their next generation of products and data initiatives.




  • Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL and AWS ‘big data’ technologies.
  • Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture.
  • Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional business requirements.
  • Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.
  • Work with data and analytics experts to strive for greater functionality in their data systems.




  • Extensive experience in a similar role, ideally within games.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, statistics, informatics, information systems or another quantitative field.
  • Experience with AWS cloud services: EC2, EMR, RDS, Kinesis, DynamoDB, Redshift.
  • Experience with object-oriented scripting languages such as Python, Java, C++, Scala, etc.
  • Experience building and optimizing data pipelines, architectures and data sets.
  • Advanced SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases.
  • Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Strong analytic skills related to working with unstructured datasets.
  • Build processes supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency and workload management.
