Senior Concept Artist – AAA Console/PC Games – Hybrid/Onsite – London, UK

One Player Mission’s client is looking for an Senior Concept Artist to join their growing teams of talented developers, helping them to create exciting games that are expertly built and enjoyed by millions.

The successful candidate will bring creative passion, vision, and inspiration to help drive the quality of current and upcoming titles, while collaborating with both the Art Directors and Lead Artists.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Having shipped multiple titles, with a thorough understanding of the game development pipeline.
• Experience in design & illustration and a strong understanding of Art fundamentals (e.g., color theory, composition, shape language, lighting, form + function, perspective).
• Fluency in Photoshop & capacity to learn new tools.

DESIRED:

• Knowledge of various design principles applicable to various genres (e.g., industrial, sci-fi, mechanical design).
• Good understanding of constructing credible and realistic mechanical designs.
• Ability to match and define various art styles with minimal supervision.
• Strong anatomical knowledge and architectural knowledge.
• Experience in 3D packages.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Collaborate closely with the project’s developers, create designs ranging from realistic to sci-fi, from initial sketches through to defining visuals, developing visual solutions considering aesthetic, technical, design & narrative aspects in a timely manner.
• Lead, mentor & develop the skills of junior members of the concept team.
