OPM’s client, a Games Developer and Publisher based in Germany have been delivering their own titles across all major platforms for nearly a decade. They also support Indie Studios getting their games to larger markets by offering expert publishing support.

They are currently seeking a Senior Combat Designer to join their studio in Germany.

Requirements:

• Expert experience in game design, with a focus on guiding combat experiences from conception to final product
• Solid understanding of professional game development editors
• Experience with complex scripting a bonus
• Passionate about game design and game development
• Ability to identify when a feature is enjoyable or not, while also studying the causes that led to the observed result
• Able to work successfully with a cross-discipline team

Responsibilities:

• You will be a senior member of their gameplay and game design team
• You will drive and organise the design, implementation, tuning, and polish of combat encounters and features
• You will be responsible for a variety of combat associated tasks using their proprietary game development editor
• You will work closely with a cross-discipline team including art, production, and engineering
