OPM’s client are a based in London dedicated to developing interactive experiences focused on the emotional connection with characters and story to appeal to a broad audience and push the boundaries of what games can be.

The role’s primary function is to work with the Lead Cinematic Artist and other cinematic artists to create a strong visual language in the game through the implementation of cameras and lighting.

The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to tell stories that matter and implement them from the heart to a high technical standard.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • A Portfolio including examples of: timeline work (Ideally within a game engine), Camera or Editing work, and examples of Animatics or Previs (including drawn storyboards)
  • Strong critical reasoning and emotional awareness within storytelling is essential
  • Strong understanding of cinematography, lighting, with a keen eye for composition
  • Creative and pragmatic
  • Degree in relevant field or appropriate professional experience
  • Strong interest in games

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Working with the Lead Cinematic Artist to create strong cinematic sequences that resonate emotionally with the audience
  • Directing, editing and refining the narrative within the game engine
  • Maintaining consistent quality, style and continuity, both visually and technically throughout the project
  • Plan and Implement Character Blocking and cameras within Unity
  • Address bugs as assigned in reviews
  • Collaborate with other cinematics artists to meet deadlines together
  • Communicate progress within the pipeline provided

DESIRED:

  • Knowledge of Unity and Unity Timeline or other game engines
  • Character Animation skills
