Project: AAA Console Games

OPM’s client is a globally successful console and PC game company based in Finland. This AAA studio is known for creating cinematic blockbuster action games that break media boundaries, pushing the limits of 3D character technology, storytelling, and visual effects.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Strong experience in game development with a minimum of one shipped AAA game in a Senior Audio Designer capacity
• Knowledge of audio in linear and non-linear environments
• Proven history of high-quality audio design and implementation skills
• Great skills for creating concepts and strong system design skills
• Knowledge and understanding of standard audio creation software, e.g. REAPER, Pro Tools, Vegas Pro, Izotope RX etc
• Experience with audio middleware ( Wwise, FMOD etc)
• Superb verbal and written English

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Defining the project's overall audio direction in collaboration with creative stakeholders
• Act as a mediator between the audio team and project stakeholders
• Produce concepts, content, and implement the work through audio middleware and game engine
• Help with polishing and bug fixing efforts
• Give accurate time estimations for tasks and meet production deadlines
• Mentoring other members of the design team to assist their learning and growth development

DESIRED SKILLS:

• Background in narrative and fast-paced action games
• Understanding of scripting and/or programming. (Lua, C#…)
• Formal education in a relevant field, e.g. audio engineering, game design etc
