Senior Animator – Midlands, UK – Permanent – AAA Racing Games

This developer has been making great games for over 30 years! They have a rich and unrivalled heritage of multiple award-winning racing games that any gamer will recognise.

They are seeking an experienced Senior Animator to help develop and deliver AAA standard games. At this studio you will have your ideas heard, be valued, and recognised for your contributions.

REQUIREMENTS:

• A strong 3D Animation Demo Reel showcasing your ability to animate Human characters.
• Demonstrable experience overseeing the work quality, planning and assessments of other animators.
• Demonstrable experience on released titles for current-gen consoles/PC.
• Capability to mentor and develop junior staff.
• Outstanding communications skills and ability to interact professionally at all levels.
• Self-motivated team player, and able to work on your own initiative.
• Experience with a mixture of animation styles and cutting-edge pipelines.
• Great understanding of human anatomy
• Professional experience working with MOCAP data for body & Facial animations.
• Excellent skills with Motion Builder

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work from agreed specification and schedule
• Create animation assets to the required standard
• Test all animation assets against specification
• Ensure all animation assets are produced in line with the projects agreed standards
• Report progress to Line Manager and inform them of any problems or implementation issues promptly
• Fix any bugs identified in owned animation assets, either through own testing or by QA

DESIRED SKILLS:

• 3ds Max skills
• Understanding of Faceware.
• Confidence to take part in performance capture.
