Lead AI Programmer – PC/Console Multiplayer Games – London

Located in the London borough of Bromley, our client is all about crafting the world's most engaging multiplayer experiences. They are growing the studio for exciting new projects on PC and console and are looking for a talented and passionate Senior AI Programmer to help create them.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Strong experience programming in a game’s studio, with a solid understanding of C++.
• Solid understanding of 3D maths principles.
• Ability to communicate well with technical and non-technical members.
• Experience implementing AI features from inception to delivery.
• A deep understanding of AI behavioural & navigational techniques in modern gaming.
• A keen curiosity in researching new AI related technology.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work with other disciplines to help them realise their visions through rapid prototyping and iterative agile development.
• Implement fresh and thrilling gameplay features within multiplayer titles.
• You will use your sophisticated knowledge and experience to own the technical design and implementation of large game features.
• You will provide support for junior members of the team whilst effectively managing your own time and workload.
• You will help drive the project by working with your discipline lead to plan and maintain roadmaps.

DESIRED SKILLS:

• Experience with real-time networked multiplayer games.
• Professional experience with Unreal Engine 4.
• Experience developing on modern consoles.
• Knowledge of profiling and optimising code for CPU, memory and bandwidth usage.
• Knowledge of developing procedurally generated environments.
• Familiarity with animation programming.
