Remote working UI Manager – PC and Console Games

Location: Remote working / work from home Salary: Negotiable

Job ID: #13103 Posted: 7 months ago

Slightly Mad Studios

With over ten years of pedigree in creating AAA-games, our client is a 160-strong group of professionals working from either their hub in Central London, or worldwide via a unique and award-winning distributed development system.

They’re looking for a dedicated UI Manager that can drive the user interface experience forward across technical, design, and art departments.

The UI Manager’s role would have a technical background, with an understanding of the code requirements, pipelines, and complexities in shipping a AAA user interface, but would be hands-off from actual implementation; instead taking a supervisory role across the code and design/art teams to create and adhere to a schedule, drive daily/weekly tasks, plan milestones, and check deliverables for quality assurance.

Potential candidates would therefore have a code background, having been a key member of a team that has shipped AAA-quality user interfaces on console before, has an analytical eye for wireframe and flow/logic design, and an understanding of the latest trends in gaming and UX.

Daily they would be communicating with the UI Leads, anticipating problems, finding solutions, and keeping on-track.

Ideal candidates would have a background in both Code and Production.

This is a brand new position within the company and the successful candidate will be responsible for making this position their own and defining the role.
