Project: AAA FPS Game

Our client is a world class team of diverse and multi-national talent who are well known for crafting memorable gaming experiences and are seeking a Release Manager to join their team developing a brand-new FPS IP.

The successful candidate will produce the numerous builds required by different parts of the development and release teams, working with the production team and QA on highlighting issues.


  • Focused leader, with a proactive urgency to solving issues
  • Approachable, friendly, and confident in decision making
  • Able to communicate well with dev team at all levels
  • Understanding of version control software such as Perforce or Git
  • Experience with stream maps for complex codebases including a mix of mergeable and non-mergeable assets – particularly for UE4 projects
  • Administering CI systems such as Jenkins, Hudson or Teamcity
  • Problem-solver with the drive to seek out and acquire information


  • Utilising numerous technologies in the day-to-day running and maintenance of the build pipeline driven by Unreal and Perforce, and TeamCity, and their own internal frameworks
  • Responsibility for the continuous integration and deployment of the various builds, streams, and submissions
  • Ensure builds are delivered rapidly and robustly, communicating issues with the dev and QA teams
  • Bridge the gap between development and operations by facilitating discussions and making decisions that impact the game and players
  • Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of the existing build and asset pipeline and CI systems
  • Establish and manage work processes that improve build robustness and helping to foster an environment of responsible development
  • Promote and spread the release culture and continuous improvement mindset throughout the game team
  • Outline best practices and SLAs
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot build problems


  • Experience managing large volumes of requests and work priorities
  • Shipped at least one in a DevOps Live Operations service
  • Degree in Computer Science, Maths or comparable
  • Experience shipping consoles games
  • Experience with data handling tools such as PowerBi or Kibana
  • Experience with post launch product support
  • Experience in Deployment management or QA
