Quest Designer – AAA Games – Poland – Permanent

OPM is thrilled to be working for this passionate AAA videogames developer. You will be working in their independent studio working closely with their main team on their core titles. They are expanding their studio and want to double (even triple) their size ASAP.

Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for planning, designing and implementing story driven quests in my client’s new RPG IP, working closely with other designers and writers to create spectacular memories for players.

  • Create the storyline on a detailed level
  • Design quests and implement them using a proprietary toolset
  • Plan assets required for the creation of the quests
  • Cooperate with other departments
  • Integrate delivered assets (gameplay elements, locations, characters, dialog etc.) into a seamless, engaging and unique experience
  • Maintain the highest possible quality of quests, and fix reported bugs
  • Create and maintain design documentation

Requirements:

  • Experience working on a Quest or Mission Design position, with at least 1 shipped AAA title with strong narrative and quest/mission design elements
  • Knowledge of game editors and game design tools
  • Experience with comparable visual scripting tools
  • Able to effectively work across teams involved in a game development lifecycle
  • Creative mentality and good sense of narrative pacing
  • Can work under pressure and meet production deadlines
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills
  • Passion for playing games (RPGs)
  • Excellent communication skills, fluent English & proven ability to work within a team
