QA Manager – PC and Console – France

At our client’s Paris studio, you will be a part of the department in charge of producing and publishing video games.

You will be tasked with building and supervising a team of QA testers to work on the games published by our client that are made by external development studios. Your main objective will be to optimise the project quality while ensuring that console manufacturer submission schedules and budgets are respected.

By becoming a part of this successful company, you will have the opportunity to work on prestigious projects for PC and console titles.

 

As QA Manager, you will be responsible for:

 

  • Supervise the QA testers working in pairs with each Game Producer to evaluate the deliverables for each project.
  • Making recommendations on how to improve each title.
  • Drafting a comprehensive test plan for each title, within budget.
  • Looking for new service providers that can be incorporated in the QA plan.
  • Configuring and updating the bug database.
  • Reporting bugs that are found, prioritising them and performing regression testing.
  • Monitoring testing conducted by QA service providers
  • Assisting the Producer with submissions to the console manufacturers (Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo)
  • Staying up to date on console manufacturer certification procedures

Applicant profile

  • You have extensive experience as a QA tester with significant experience on PC and consoles.
  • You have considerable experience in team management.
  • Your technical knowledge enables you to analyse the development studios’ work and to make suggestions throughout the design and production process for each project.
  • You are sufficiently fluent in English (oral and written) to be able to communicate with non-Francophone service providers and clients.
  • You know how to use the main software in Microsoft Office and the various bug-tracking software.
  • Ideally, you have already created test plans and checklists.
  • Some experience with motor sports and/or team sports is an advantage.
