QA Manager – Mobile Games – Spain – Permanent

My client, a worldwide mobile games leader, is currently looking for an experienced QA Manager to join their international team of more than 250 talented employees, based in sunny Spain. They develop amazing games, positioned in the top rankings of both iOS and Android, that are played and loved by over 50 million fans all over the world.

The QA Manager needs to live and breathe quality and possess a passion for social gaming as well as experience testing across all aspects of the game development lifecycle.

The QA Manager will be the functional leader for my client’s team of talented testers.

Responsibilities:

  • Define and execute the studios QA strategy
  • Lead and manage the QA team
  • Share expertise with their testing and test tool guilds and provide guidance when needed
  • Provide input for compensation, performance management and people development
  • Make sure the studio is up-to-date with the state of the art of games testing technologies
  • Create QA procedures to ensure quality and consistency across our projects
  • Align with heads of product and technology leaders in order to achieve company goals
  • Champion quality best-practices for the studio
  • Building a strong suite of QA metrics that will drive a more data driven approach
  • Maintain the relationship with the different QA partners (QA outsourcing, QA and Automation tools)

Requirements:

  • Extensive Gaming Industry Quality Assurance experience
  • Solid Leadership/Management experience within a QA role
  • Mobile games testing experience (iOS and Android)
  • Automation testing and TDD knowledge/experience
  • Procedures definition and deployment
  • Methodical and organized work style
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Experience managing outsourcing a great bonus
  • Software Engineering will be advantageous
