QA Engineer – Console and PC – Amsterdam

QA Engineers will be hired to work as part of the Animation and Gameplay team. They will be integrated into the team, providing on-going support throughout development by working on automation, tools and infrastructure improvements. Successful candidates will work closely with other members of the QA team as well as animators, designers, and gameplay programmers in order to improve existing tools and build new ones to help improve quality and efficiency.

 
Responsibilities:
  • Supporting the QA team, programmers, designers, and artists to make infrastructure improvements
  • Design, build and maintained automated tests and infrastructure solutions
  • Implementing new tools to improve workflows and efficiency
  • Creating and maintaining supporting documentation such as user guides for testing tools
  • Assisting with the management of the bug database
  • Providing some manual testing support when necessary
 
Skills & Requirements:
  • Good communication skills
  • Knowledge of PC and console gaming (hardware and testing software)
  • Understanding of and experience with all areas of game testing
  • Knowledge of QA methodologies and applying them to ensure quality and improve efficiency
  • Solid, reliable and efficient code writing skills
  • Knowledge of Unreal Engine (preferably UE4) including the use of blueprints and coding for automation in unreal
  • Speaks English
  • Good experience working in a game development environment
  • Ability to work full-time in Amsterdam, Netherlands
 
Following is a plus:
  • Experience working with bug-trackers (JIRA preferably)
  • Experience with Wwise
