Project Manager – Sheffield – Salary Neg – AAA Games

This studio is one of the UK’s most prolific and successful independent game developers, with a stable track record over the years. Since their inception, they’ve had a string of successful titles across all gaming platforms for high profile partners and are continuing to add to their portfolio line-up with well-known IPs. They are also incredibly proud to be working on a highly anticipate AAA console title and are now keen to hear from talented Project Planners for forthcoming roles at their studio.


As the Project Planner, you will report to the Development Director and work with management, production and the development teams to identify key project metrics and information, then deliver and run process to extract, collate, maintain and then objectively communicate relevant information to all stakeholders. The goal is to ensure the project is delivered successfully, drive tangible quality and increase efficiency by providing accurate and up to date project information.



  • Develop, maintain, track and analyse project schedule and capacity information for all of the team’s projects.
  • Drive and participate in project planning sessions.
  • Maintain a history of projects, deliver reports, risk registers and own the project change process.
  • Liaise with senior staff to understand KPI requirements and deploy process to track and surface required information.
  • Analyse project information and highlight problems, escalate critical issues and develop scenario options and opportunities.
  • Enforce team processes that are critical for the success of the PM function.



  • Outstanding organizational skills.
  • Performed similar roles in the gaming / software / related industries.
  • Successful track record of completed projects – preferably across multiple platforms.
  • Understanding of a wide variety of project management concepts, tools and approaches and an ability to tailor their methods to meet the requirements of the team.
  • A passion for technology, entertainment and understand technical and creative concepts.
  • Open and flexible with strong communication skills.
  • Dedicated and tenacious in the pursuit of success.
  • Degree-level educated with strong mathematical ability.
  • Experience with MS Project and an in depth working knowledge of Excel.
  • Experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies and Scrum Certification.
