Production Manager – Console Games – Edinburgh

Our client based in Edinburgh are a studio who are building a world class team of games developers to make a ground breaking open-world game! As such, they are looking for a senior level Project Manager to ensure the project runs smoothly, and that they are able to achieve the best results possible.

The Production Manager, reporting to the Production Director, is a vital role at the studio. This position is a key point person for all production activities at the studio and a member of the Production Team.

Responsibilities:

• Act as central point of contact and information for the game development teams.
• Coordinate and monitor resources of different disciplines across the development teams.
• Build successful working relationships with all disciplinary leads to inform, optimize workflows, assign tasks, schedule priorities and track progress.
• Improve processes and policies in support of organizational goals and to maximize output.
• Develop and coordinate project plans with the production team in Edinburgh and Budapest.
• Reduce any external distractions from the development team to speed up development.
• Any other reasonable task to aid general development.

Requirements:

• Excellent organizational skills, with an ability to prioritize important projects.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills in English (both written and spoken).
• Knowledge of additional languages a plus.
• Previous game industry experience required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (especially Word & Excel).
• Familiarity with Atlassian JIRA a plus.
• Proactive approach and strong sense of personal motivation.
