OPM are working with a leading mobile games studio based in central London and we are looking for a Live Events Product Manager to join their small team. This role is an exciting opportunity to be involved with their major live games and there is also room to progress onto unreleased titles. This role combines analytical, creative and production skills to manage the entire lifecycle for our games’ live events and content.

The successful candidate will be analysing performance for live events and content. As such, they will be the expert on the economy for our games. Working with our art and community team, they will marry past update performance with user research to understand what sells and formulate better future theme, item and event roadmaps.

Strong analytical skills are essential for this role as you will need to determine optimal balancing for live events, ensuring an enjoyable player progression, as well as monetisation and spender conversion which will also involve perfecting pricing, balancing and merchandising strategies for selling items and bundles.

Strong communication skills are essential, as you will be required to work directly with the development and art teams to produce and execute the best product strategies and you will be asked to propose, design and produce features that improve the effectiveness of the content and live events.

This is a critical and rewarding role that delivers an impactful difference to our clients games’ retention, user enjoyment and profitability. You will be able to see the impact that your work has on the business on a weekly basis and there is always room to grow within the studio itself.


  • Monitor and report on game event, engagement and monetisation KPIs
  • Complete regular analyses of how event and items have performed to derive useful insights for content decisions
  • Work with the community and community managers to understand players’ content preferences to determine and plan out content roadmaps
  • Work with the art team to provide broad directions on art and theme roadmaps, influencing content creation with insights from analytics
  • Determine balancing of all new items in our games and balance and optimise events to ensure ideal event engagement and monetisation
  • Lead analytics initiatives to better understand how content and balancing impact game KPIs
  • Enter data and basic testing of the new game content you work on
  • Design tools for dev team to develop to streamline production and release processes


  • 1+ years of experience in Product Management on free to play games, Data Analysis on content led games and/or Gameplay Balancing
  • Evidence of strong analytical skills and experience using analytics tools
  • Advanced competency in MS Excel and ideally some experience with SQL
  • Experience in an agile development or production environment
  • Must have a strong interest in games and be passionate about product management
  • Self starter, well-organised, and a team player with excellent communication skills
  • Strong presentation skills
