Producer / Project Manager – Amsterdam – AAA Games

OPM is excited to be working with this leading AAA games developer based in the Netherlands. With over a decade’s experience in the games industry, they have grown into a multicultural team of over 200 people that have strived to achieve technical and artistic excellence in their games.

To get the most out of their creative talent and push their games to the highest quality, they are looking for a Producer to work on their upcoming projects. You will be responsible for making our ambitious and challenging game projects run as smoothly and efficiently as possible.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Setup and maintain project schedules for both short and mid-long term project goals
• Interpret the quality needs of the project, translate them into requirements, and ensure implementation
• Manage risks, issues and change requests and pro-actively solve development problems before they impact the schedule or the end result
• Partner up with stakeholders and teams, and help shepherd the processes forward to keep production running smoothly and without interruption
• Track status of work and deliverables, including dependencies between teams
• Communicate relevant information to different stakeholders at the appropriate time
• Anticipate resource needs, both short-term and long-term, from sometimes uncertain and fluent design decisions
• Challenge existing ways/processes, and come up with new, feasible ways of working that take other teams impact into account

Skills/Experience:

• Experience in a production role on large console games
• Knowledge of modern project management methods and tools, and know when and how to apply them
• Excellent communication, coordination and diplomacy skills
• A proactive, can-do attitude and you are comfortable in an ambiguous and dynamic work environment, embracing changes and accepting revisions if needed to improve the game
• Educated to university level, preferably in a technical/software discipline, or equivalent level of industry experience
• Proficient in Excel and JIRA
• You like playing games and are passionate about game development
