My client is an award-winning game development studio based in central London, and are responsible for creating & publishing some unusual, but thoroughly entertaining games.

 

The team is made up of veterans from games, mobile & entertainment industries.  Their aim is to shake up the current games industry by creating original, fun and eccentric games built on solid gameplay but with a humorous side.

 

As part of the production team you will be responsible for building and managing one of the internal game teams and taking one of our original IPs to new levels. You will be a seasoned producer with a great track record, looking to make your next move up and take on a new challenge. Additionally you will be comfortable working in a dynamic and creative environment, familiar with treading the fine line between quality, time and costs.
Responsibilities:

  • Team building. Growing a small prototype team into a fully fledged development team
  • Managing the development team on a day to day basis
  • Motivating a team of highly skilled individuals to excel
  • Maintaining robust and frequent communications with the team, peers and management
  • Production planning and tracking for the game development team
  • Budget planning and tracking for the project
  • Risk management. Tracking and management of any risks to the project
  • Making sure all stakeholders are kept aware of the status of the project
  • Maintaining up to date industry and market awareness, ensuring the game remains competitive

 

Skills/Experience:

  • Experience of managing the full development cycle
  • Experience of both agile and waterfall development methodologies
  • Multiplayer experience
  • Experience working with new and evolving technologies
  • Proven leadership skills
  • A strong passion for games
  • Proficient at planning/tracking budgets and scheduling and tracking resources
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Familiar with leading project management solutions
  • A fascination for finding new and better approaches to problems
  • An open and inclusive approach to management
  • You understand that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts and you respect those around you
  • A drive to learn, improve and share
  • The ability adapt to fluid situations, you know when to stick to the plan and when put it to one side
