My client are well known for producing and publishing a wide range of well known titles to the highest quality and have a real passion for what they do. They are expanding quickly and due to this are looking for a creative and talented PR & Events professional that will share in their enthusiasm to join their team.
The successful candidate will help maximize the potential of the studios products in the marketplace by driving innovative, consistent and effective PR campaigns, working in conjunction with the brand team, development talent, as well as internal studio teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Working closely with the Senior PR Manager and Brand team, create and execute first-class UK PR campaigns for products
- Working alongside the Senior PR Manager to help raise the company’s profile in the videogame industry in the UK and Internationally via an effective rollout of corporate communications strategy
- Playing an integral role in the planning, design and running of UK and International event plans with flair, style and precision: juggling many moving parts with a professional composure
- Building and nurture strong a strong network of relationships with a wide range of UK and International media, including specialist gaming, mainstream and trade outlets
- Working on creative story pitches to sell-in to media outlets ensuring messages match brand pillars and resonate with target media
- Localising and distributing press releases and media alerts in-line with global direction
- Delivering concise, timely and informative reporting on press activities, coverage and opportunities
- Tracking, measuring and reporting on the success of all key activities to the senior management teams
- Evangelising product potential both internally and externally, quickly developing an in-depth understanding of all products
- Where required, attending consumer and media events in the UK or overseas as required as an ambassador for products
The Skills & Experience you will need are:
- An unquenchable passion for video games and a very good understanding of the video games industry
- A proven track record in delivering first class communications campaigns for videogames.
- At least two years’ experience at Communications Manager level, either in an in-house or agency capacity
- A first-class network of UK & International media contacts
- Experience in strategic messaging and positioning. You must be able to effectively construct a compelling message or story that resonates with the target media
- Proven organisational and time management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be proficient with Excel and PowerPoint
You will also need:
- The ability to think on your own feet and work under your own initiative
- To be reliable, self-motivated and able to deal with confidential information in a professional manner
- The ability to work to deadlines and accommodate changing deadlines without compromising quality
- Ability to track, measure and feedback on progress across all tasks
Experience of corporate PR and crisis communications would be desirable
