Pipeline Technical Director – Video Games – Glasgow

OPM are excited to be working with this award-winning animation studio based in Glasgow, Scotland. They create hyper-real animated experiences, designed to transport viewers to never-before-seen worlds. Across sci-fi, fantasy, horror and action they tell bold, cinematic stories for the biggest names in video games, television, film, online, theme parks and beyond. Whatever the medium, their content is striking!

They are now looking for a Pipeline Technical Director to be responsible for developing and maintaining tools for use on high end visual effects, 2D and 3D animation and other such projects for TV, video games and film. The Pipeline Technical Directors work closely with the other pipeline team members including CG Supervisors, Department Leads, IT and the Head of R&D to provide front line support in the delivery of each project.

Technical Requirements:

• Professional experience in animation or visual effects for film or television
• Professional experience developing for Maya, Nuke or Houdini
• Strong working knowledge of Python
• Excellent communication, troubleshooting and debugging skills
• Experience in designing and building database systems is desirable
• Experience in Django, Flask or web development is advantageous
• Working knowledge of C++ is desirable but not essential
