Narrative Designer – REMOTE – Console and PC Games

One Player Missions client want to create games that bring people together and are seeking a talented Narrative Designer to join their team and help them in doing so.

The successful candidate will act as the champion of a game’s story, functioning as the central resource for all things narrative related.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Previous experience in the game industry working as a Narrative Designer or equivalent role. 
• Mastery of the English Language is a must, both written and spoken. 
• Possess in-depth knowledge and passion for the history and theories governing interactive storytelling. 
• Understand how to present a clear narrative concept flow using Visio, Excel PPT or other. 
• Strong research, analytics and problem solving skills. 
• Previous professional experience as a writer in the game or entertainment industry. 

RESPONSIBLITIES:

• Work with the development team to brainstorm creative ways to encapsulate the games core mechanics through story and narrative. 
• Establish the lore and tone of the world of the game. 
• Propose creative and effective ways to effectively present the world to players. 
• Define characters and NPCs, their backstories and personalities. 
• Write in-game dialogue and text. 
• Identify Narrative problems and brainstorming creative solutions.
• Work to create and establish the voice of the game.
